InnoCampus Maker Fest is a marathon for 24 hours where multi-discipline teams create digital technology projects with support of trainers and mentors. Participants can apply to the categories offered by InnoCampus or work on their own project.
They are not only supported by mentors or trainers, but they are also expected to collaborate with other teams. During the InnoCampus Maker Fest, InnoCampus YapLab (Fab Lab) provides the equipment which the teams will need. At the end of the 24 hours, each team presents their projects.
At the previous makeathon organized on 21-22 April 2017 at Gaziantep University , teams worked on 5 different area including IOT, drones, 3D printing assembly, ceramic 3D printer assembly and ed-tech games for kids in the InnoCampus containers.
The next InnoCampus Maker Fest will take place on 11-12 August 2017 in Izmir Institute of Technology.
Application deadline is 5 August 2017.
Participants can apply to either one of these subjects or with their own project idea.
The Maker Fest will start on 11 August at 13:00 and will take 24 hours. During the event, food and drinks will be supplied. Accommodation will not be needed due to the nature of the event.
InnoCampus is a mobile accelerator / Fab Lab program which travels from city to city helping budding entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to life. The prefabricated portable platform consists of 3 containers (total 90 m2) which can be set up and disassembled in just a day and travels from city to city on 3 trucks.
The goal of the InnoCampus is to help young people with the tools and methods they will need at the early stages of their startups, encourage them and connect them with other individuals and organizations that can support them.
So far, InnoCampus carried out 7 different accelerator programs in Adana, Izmir, Çanakkale, Istanbul and Gaziantep. The next InnoCampus Program will take place in Izmir.
